Focus without an account.
Your guest ocean stays on your device. During private testing, designated builds may enable optional accounts, cloud backup, private focus rooms and Apple sandbox subscriptions. These features are still being verified and are not a public launch announcement. The sections below explain what happens when a feature is enabled and you choose to use it.
Who operates Little Ocean

Information on your device
The app uses your focus sessions, tasks, notes, settings and earned creatures to run your timer, organize your day and save your ocean. Using the timer does not by itself upload this content. Guest progress and each account’s local progress are kept in separate profiles.
Optional accounts and cloud backup
If you sign in with Apple, we use your Apple account identifier, the email address Apple supplies (which may be a private relay address), and sign-in tokens to create and secure your Little Ocean account. We do not request your name. Supabase provides our authentication, database and backend hosting. These services process account, connection and security information needed to operate and protect the service.
Signing in does not automatically upload your guest ocean. You choose whether to keep it separate or copy it to your account, and review your first cloud save or restore. A cloud backup contains the ocean data you save, including tasks, notes, focus history and settings. Automatic sync is optional and starts after a reviewed cloud save or restore. Cloud data is transmitted over HTTPS and protected by account access controls; it is not end-to-end encrypted. Do not put passwords or sensitive information in task or note fields.
Private focus rooms
If you create or join a private room, the service stores its invitation identifier, participants’ account identifiers, duration, start and end state, and recent presence times. Other participants see numbered aliases and shared session progress, not your email, account identifier, task names or notes. There is no public room directory or chat. Anyone with an unexpired invitation can try to join, so share it only with intended participants. A room expires after one day; expired records are inaccessible through the app but may remain in backend storage until cleanup or account deletion. Presence does not measure attention or other app use.
Subscriptions and offline access
Apple processes App Store payments. We do not receive your payment-card details. We process Apple transaction and subscription identifiers, product, purchase and expiry dates, status, environment and available transaction price information to verify Plus, restore access, prevent fraud and maintain payment and planned conservation-reserve records. An opaque account token links a purchase to its Little Ocean account. Test purchases are excluded from real conservation reserves.
The app may store a signed, encrypted offline Plus pass on your device. It is tied to your account and sign-in session, lasts no more than 72 hours, and cannot extend past verified paid or grace access. Signing out removes that pass. Subscription records and minimal unlinked transaction ownership records may be retained after account deletion for fraud prevention, financial recordkeeping and refund reconciliation. They do not contain your task or note contents.
Backups and exports
If you export a backup or session history, you decide where to save or share that file. Copies outside the app follow the practices of that destination. Keep your exports private if they contain personal tasks or notes.
Notifications and preferences
If you enable session alerts, the app requests notification permission and schedules local notifications. You can change permission in iPhone Settings. Sound and motion preferences are saved locally. Native app blocking remains unavailable in the current distributed build; we will update these disclosures before making it available.
Analytics and distribution
The app does not include advertising SDKs or behavioral analytics, and we do not sell your personal information. Apple’s App Store and TestFlight, operating-system services, and Expo distribution services may process download, test, diagnostic or distribution information under their own privacy notices. Our backend providers may keep operational and security logs. We do not intentionally place raw task or note contents in analytics or diagnostic logs.
This website
This website has no advertising pixels, behavioral analytics, third-party font services or account system. It is hosted through OpenAI Sites on Cloudflare infrastructure. Those providers may process standard connection and security information, such as IP address and request time, to deliver and protect the website. The website does not collect your focus sessions or tasks.
Support and your choices
When you email us, we receive your address and the information you include. We use it to respond and troubleshoot. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or private tasks. You may contact us to request access, correction or deletion of personal information, including support correspondence, subject to applicable recordkeeping requirements.
Removing your data
In builds with accounts enabled, Account settings provides permanent account deletion with confirmation and Apple reauthentication. This removes cloud backups and account information, revokes sessions and removes associated room participation; retained payment records are separated from the deleted user. If deletion is interrupted, contact support for help completing it. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription: manage cancellation in your App Store subscription settings.
Signing out or deleting an account leaves its separate local ocean on this phone and reopens your guest ocean. Delete the app to remove its locally stored data. This does not remove exports or copies held in device backups; manage those where you saved them. Cloud backups remain while your account exists unless replaced or deleted. Services and data may be processed outside your country by the providers described above.

We will update this policy when features or data practices change. The date above identifies the current version. For questions, contact support.
